The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission conducts a judicial examination for the post of Civil Judge (Junior Division) under the provisions under the Tamil Nadu State Judicial Service (Cadre and Recruitment Rules), 2007. The recruitment process is carried out on the basis of prelims, mains examination, and interview. The candidates may be practising advocates, who must be more than 25 years of age and must not exceed 35 years of age. Fresh law graduates may also apply wherein they must be above 22 years of age but less than 27 years. They must have a Bachelor of Laws from a recognized university or institute recognized by the Bar Council of India, and enrolled as an advocate.
