Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification: Must possess a Law Degree (LLB) from a recognized university.
Advocacy Experience: At least 7 years of active practice as an Advocate as of 12 March 2025.
Age Limit:
Minimum: 35 years
Maximum: 45 years as of 1 March 2025
Relaxation: 3 years for SC, ST, BC, and EWS candidates.
Citizenship: Must be an Indian citizen of good moral character and sound health.
Disqualifications:
Conviction for an offence involving moral turpitude.
Dismissal or removal from service
More than one living spouse.
Debarment by any Public Service Commission.
Exam Pattern:
Stage 1: Screening Test (Objective Type)
100 multiple choice questions (100 marks, 2 hours)
Qualifying marks: 40
Shortlisting: Top candidates in 1:10 ratio for Written Exam
Stage 2: Written Examination (Descriptive Type)
Three papers – each 100 marks, 3 hours duration
Paper I: Constitution & Civil Law
Paper II: Criminal Law
Paper III: English – Translation (25 marks) & Essay Writing (75 marks)
Stage 3: Viva Voce (Oral Interview)
