1. Eligibility for Posts 1 to 27 (Arts, Science, Commerce & Other Academic Subjects)

These posts follow the Rajasthan Education Service (Collegiate Branch) Rules, 1986. The essential qualifications are:

• A master’s degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) from a recognized Indian University.
• NET/SLET/SET qualification conducted by UGC/CSIR or any accredited agency is mandatory.
• Candidates with a Ph.D. (as per UGC Regulations 2009/2016) are exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
• A Ph.D. from a foreign university ranked in the top 500 globally (QS/THE/ARWU) is also acceptable.
• Working knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari script and awareness of Rajasthani culture is compulsory.

2. Eligibility for Posts 28 to 30 (Music – Vocal/Instrumental & Dance)

For performing arts subjects, both academic qualifications and professional expertise are considered. Candidates can qualify through two pathways:

Pathway 1: Academic Route

• Master’s Degree with 55% marks
• NET/SLET/SET or Ph.D. as per UGC norms

Pathway 2: Professional Artist Route

A traditional or professional artist may also apply if:

• They hold a bachelor’s degree
• They have highly commendable professional achievements, such as:

• Being an “A” Grade Artist of AIR/Doordarshan
• Receiving training under a reputed traditional master

Knowledge of Hindi and Rajasthani culture remains mandatory.

3. Important Notes on Qualifications (RPSC Eligibility 2025)

(a) Marks Relaxation

• A 5% relaxation (from 55% to 50%) is allowed for SC, ST, OBC (Non‑Creamy Layer), MBC (Non‑Creamy Layer), and PwD candidates.

(b) Final Year Candidates

• Students appearing in the final year of their qualifying degree may apply.
• They must submit proof of qualification before the interview.

(c) SLET/SET Validity

• SLET/SET cleared before 01 June 2002 from any state is valid.
• For exams on or after 01 June 2002, only Rajasthan SLET/SET is valid.

RPSC Assistant Professor – Age Limit

To apply for the RPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment, candidates must meet the age criteria prescribed by the commission. The cut‑off date for age calculation is 01 July 2025. On this date:

• Candidates must be at least 21 years old, and
• Must be below 40 years of age
